The CBI today filed a 39-page additional charge sheet in the special CBI court at Nampally in Hyderabad listing the suspended IAS officer Y. Srilakshmi as the sixth accused in the illegal mining case involving the former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy.

The main charge mentioned in the additional charge sheet is that she helped Janardhan reddy in his illegal mining activities by removing the words ‘Captive Mining’ from the GO issued granting mining leases to his company Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC).

Reports said the CBI has also mentioned charges against Mr Ali Khan, former PA of Gali Janardhan reddy in the additional charge sheet. The CBI is trying to bring Ali Khan to Hyderabad and produce him in the special court. (J)
