The issue of Supreme Court notices to six ministers and eight IAS officials in the illegal properties case involving the YSR Congress president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy rocked the state assembly today.
The TDP members demanded the resignation of the ministers who have been served with notices and obstructed the proceedings of the house.
Barging into the Speaker podium, the TDP members raised slogans demanding the resignation of the said ministers. Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka appealed to the opposition members to keep peace in the house and allow the normal business to go on. But the pandemonium prevailed.
Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy intervened and said that the Government would allow a discussion on the issue after the contents of the notices were known. Not satisfied, the members continued with their demands.
Unable to run the House amid noisy scenes, Deputy Speaker adjourned it for ten minutes initially. However, when the House was reassembled, same situation prevailed and the Chair adjourned it for the day. (J)
