After the blockbuster success of Baahubali, director Prabhas is gearing up to start working on the second installment of Salaar 2 and Kalki 2898 AD from next year. However, to stay ahead of his contemporaries, Icon Star Allu Arjun has apparently agreed to set a new standard in Tollywood by working on Pushpa 3. This project will be the first of its kind for a three-part Tollywood film and will set a new standard for franchise films in Indian cinema. A source revealed, "Pushpa 3 will be the first part of the Tollywood film trilogy to usher in a new era in Telugu cinema." After the release of Pushpa: The Rule, scheduled for December 2024, Allu Arjun and director Sukumar will be joining forces for a short period of time to work together. After a break, they planned to reunite and make Pushpa 3 a reality. “Meanwhile, Allu Arjun will work with another top director and Sukumar will start a project with Ram Charan. Later, the two will work together for 'Pushpa 3' in 2026,” the source added.
