Stylish Star Allu Arjun scripted history and emerged as the first Telugu actor to win a National Award. His performance in Pushpa: The Rise was appreciated across the nation and the actor received the National Award from the President Droupadi Murmu in a grand event in New Delhi. The actor called it a proud moment and said that it was a double joy as he received the National Award for a commercial film.
The actor took his twitter handle and posted "Honoured to receive the National Award. I want to thank the jury, the ministry, the Government of India, for this recognition. This award is not only a personal milestone, but belongs to all people who have supported and cherished our cinema. Thank you, Sukumar garu. You are the reason behind my achievement".

Allu Arjun took a break from the shoot of Pushpa: The Rule and flew to New Delhi along with his family. He returned back to Hyderabad this morning and he would join the sets of Pushpa: The Rule from tomorrow. The sequel directed by Sukumar is carrying terrific expectations and is announced for August 15th next year. Mythri Movie Makers are the producers and Rashmika is the heroine. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music for this mass entertainer.
