Kannada film Kantara released across Karnataka two weeks ago and the film is declared as a smashing hit. The film collected more than Rs 100 crores in two weeks which is a record. Rishab Shetty directed and played the lead role in Kantara, a different attempt that narrates the native roots of Karnataka. The film released in Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi yesterday and the response is quite positive. The film opened on a decent note and Kantara gained strength by evening shows. The film had packed houses during the evening and night shows across the Telugu states. Kantara collected a theatrical share of Rs 2 crores on Saturday in Telugu states.
Kantara also collected Rs 4 crores on Sunday which is huge. The film is expected to end up as a huge hit all over. Kantara also gained huge weight in the North India. The word of mouth has been extremely outstanding and Kantara is expected to end up as one of the biggest hits of the year. Kantara is produced by Hombale Films and is made on a budget of Rs 20 crores. The technical aspects, narration and the climax are receiving top class response from the audience. Sapthami Gowda, Kishore Kumar, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty played other important roles in Kantara. The producers of the film too are appreciated for their efforts.
