Megastar Chiranjeevi is completely focused on Acharya, a big-budget action-packed social drama that is directed by Koratala Siva. What makes the film even more special is that Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan will be playing a crucial role in the film and he will be seen during the flashback episodes of Acharya. The entire talkie part of Acharya is now wrapped up except two songs that will be completed soon. Chiranjeevi and Charan will shake leg together for one of the pending songs.

The other song will be a romantic number on Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal. With several biggies announcing their release dates, all eyes are focused on Acharya's updated release date. It will be announced soon. Pooja Hegde is paired up beside Ram Charan in Acharya. Matinee Entertainments are the producers and Manisharma is the music director. Both Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan will be seen playing the roles of Naxalites during the flashback portions. A huge village and temple set are constructed in Hyderabad for the shoot and the set is spread across 20 acres. The entire theatrical and non-theatrical business for Acharya is done. Bollywood actor Sonu Sood will be seen in an important role in this social drama.
