Google has added new features to the Android Calendar app designed to make it easier for you to manage your tasks. The app allows users to create tasks, edit details, and create subtasks that can be used in Google Workspace products such as Gmail and Calendar and synced across devices. The company introduced the full-screen to-do list on the web last year, and the same experience is now rolling out to Android smartphones. This offering gives users a complete overview of all tasks and to-do lists. Notably, this development builds on Google's recent integration of Calendar into Gemini, its artificial intelligence (AI) assistant. Google explains the new calendar functions in a blog post. The Mountain View-based tech company announced that users can now access full-screen to-do lists in the Google Calendar app for Android. This is intended to make it easier to view and manage tasks on the go.

This feature appears on the Google Calendar home page as a checkmark next to your user profile and the Today View icon. There are three tabs: My Tasks, Trips and New List+. It allows users to view pending and completed tasks in one window and create new lists. According to Google, the full-screen task list in Google Calendar will be available to Google Workspace users, Google Workspace Individual customers, and users with personal Google accounts. It is deployed in both immediate release and scheduled release domains. In addition to the full-screen Google Calendar, the company also offers an improved Android Drive file picker for Android devices. Google says it makes it easier to access recently viewed Drive items. Additionally, users can quickly view shared items in Drive, My Drive and other locations. This feature is already available for immediate release domains and will be available for scheduled release domains on December 2nd.
