Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 were launched by the company on Friday. This company's latest folding phone uses the MediaTek Dimension chipset and features an AMOLED screen. Both smartphones have a 50-megapixel camera on the back. Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2 run on Android 14. The book-style flip phone also supports the Phantom V Pen and both phones support Tecno AI features. The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G is priced at $1,099 (approximately Rs 92,200) and will reportedly be available in Karst Green and Ripple Blue colors. On the other hand, the Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 5G costs $699 (approximately Rs. 58,600) and is available in Moondust Gray and Travertine Green colors. The phone will be available in Africa from September 23rd and will also be available in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America from October. The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G Dual SIM (Nano) runs on Android 14 with the company's HiOS 14 skin. The outer display is a 6.42-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2550 pixels) AMOLED display and the device has a 7.85-inch 2K+ (2000 x 2296 pixels) AMOLED display. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset and 12GB of RAM.
On the outside, the flip phone is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel portrait camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Inside there are two 32-megapixel cameras that can be used for selfies and video calls. The Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 5G has 512 GB of internal storage. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Internal sensors include accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, hall sensor, electronic compass and flicker sensor. Techno has equipped the Phantom V Fold 2 5G with a 5750mAh battery with 70W Ultra Charge and 15W wireless charging support. The weight is 249g and the dimensions are 140.35 x 159 x 6.08 (unfolded) and 72.16 x 159 x 11.78 ~ 11.98mm (folded). The new Phantom V Flip 2 5G features the same software as its bigger brother and features a 6.9-inch Full HD+ LTPO (1080 x 2640 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There is a 3.64 inch (1066 x 1056 pixels) AMOLED display on the outside. The device is powered by Dimensity 8200 chipset and has 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone has a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera on the outside. When open, it has a 32-megapixel camera with autofocus.
5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity are supported. It also features accelerometer, gyroscope, ultrasonic proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, flicker sensor and Hall sensor.
