The latest Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold was unveiled in international markets, including India, during the company's recent hardware launch event. This is Google's second foldable Pixel phone, but it's the first to make its debut in the Indian market. The entire Pixel 9 series has been launched in the country, powered by Google's Tensor G4 chipset. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold boasts an 8-inch inner display, a 6.3-inch cover screen, and a 4,650mAh battery that supports up to 45W charging. The device is priced at Rs. 1,72,999 in India and will be available in a single 16GB+256GB configuration, with Obsidian and Porcelain color options. Unlike previous Pixel releases, the Pixel 9 lineup will be sold through Flipkart, Croma, and Reliance Digital retail channels. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is set to hit the Indian market on August 22. The upcoming Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a cutting-edge dual-SIM smartphone that will soon arrive in Mumbai. Powered by Android 14 and the latest Tensor G4 chip, this device promises seven years of software support, including Android OS updates, security patches, and exclusive Pixel features. Its expansive 8-inch inner OLED display offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 2,700 nits, while the 6.3-inch outer OLED screen matches the same high-quality specs. The camera system is equally impressive, boasting a 48MP wide-angle lens, a 10.5MP ultra-wide with autofocus, and a 10.8MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and 20x Super Res Zoom, all with optical and electronic image stabilization. Additionally, a 10MP selfie camera adorns the cover display, ensuring exceptional photography capabilities.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold boasts a high-quality 10-megapixel camera with a comparable aperture on the inner display. Additionally, it offers an array of exclusive camera and editing capabilities unique to Google's smartphones, such as Add Me, Hands-free astrophotography, Face Unblur, Top Shot, Frequent Faces, Video Boost, Wind Noise Reduction, Audio Magic Eraser, Macro Focus Video, Made You Look, and Magic Editor. In India, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes with 256GB of internal storage, while customers in the US and other regions can also opt for the 512GB variant. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, Ultra Wide Band (UWB), and a USB 3.2 Type-C port. Internal sensors include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, barometer and proximity sensor. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold has a 4,650mAh battery that can be charged using a PPS charger (45W) and a Qi wireless charger. The device supports facial recognition and fingerprint recognition and has a waterproof rating equivalent to IPX8.
