India's triumphant T20 World Cup 2024 campaign has earned their team a substantial prize of 125 crore rupees. A total of 42 individuals, including 15 core players, support staff, and reserves, traveled to the United States and West Indies for the global tournament. The BCCI will distribute this prize money not only among the players but also the support staff, reserves, and others who were part of the 42-member delegation. However, the share of the prize money varies based on each person's role. According to a report in the Indian Express, the 15 members of India's team, even those who did not play a single game, will receive 5 crore rupees each. Head coach Rahul Dravid will also receive 5 crore rupees from the pool. As for Dravid's coaching staff, including batting coach Vikram Rathour, fielding coach T Dilip, and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, they will each get 2.5 crore rupees. Additionally, 1 crore rupee each will be distributed among the selection committee members, including their chief, Ajit Agarkar.
The BCCI has revealed the prize money details for the players and support staff participating in the T20 World Cup. Each member of the 15-player squad and the four reserve players will be awarded a sum of 1 crore Indian rupees. This information has been shared with the entire team, who have been instructed to submit an invoice to claim their share. Additionally, the BCCI selection committee has named four standby players to accompany the main squad. The BCCI secretary earlier stated that the 125 crore rupee allocation would cover the entire contingent, including players, support staff, coaches, and selectors. Following the team's return from the tournament, the Maharashtra Chief Minister has announced a further 11 crore rupee cash reward for the squad.
