Things are not going well for Mumbai Indians, and this is no longer a secret. The change in leadership at the team, with Hardik Pandya taking over from Rohit Sharma, has left a sour taste in the mouths of some fans. Consequently, no matter where he has played in this year's Indian Premier League (IPL) season, Hardik has been subjected to boos and insults from the crowd. While it is still too early to say, there are rumors that Rohit may be considering leaving MI before the next IPL season in 2025. Interestingly, the Lucknow Super Giants seem to be interested in acquiring the services of the Indian national team captain. In a YouTube video, the team's coach, Justin Langer, can be seen toying with the idea of signing Rohit Sharma in the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction. During the video, the interviewer asked Langer which player he would sign if he could choose anyone. Langer, instead of answering, turned the question back to the interviewer, who suggested Rohit Sharma. Langer, surprised, responded with a laugh, "Rohit Sharma? Hahaha."

Throughout 13 seasons, Rohit has contributed to the team's triumph in 5 IPL championships, serving as their captain each time. The plans of the Hitman for the future remain uncertain. However, considering the upcoming mega auction for the next season, it is reasonable to assume that Rohit's time with Mumbai Indians may not extend beyond this season.
