With his much improved left arm spin, all rounder Yuva Raj Singh scripted an impressive 5-wicket win for India over a spirited Ireland team in their Group B encounter of the World Cup at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore on Sunday.
Yuva Raj, who earlier claimed five wickets of the minnows who put up a stiff resistance after being asked to bat first, made a match winning 50 not out to steer India towards the much needed victory.
Yuva Raj also crafted history for himself by becoming the first cricketer to come up with five wickets and score a half century in the same match of a world cup. No doubt, he was the natural selection for the man of the match.
As the pitch was slow, getting runs has become very difficult for both the teams. Especially, India had to struggle to reach the target as the bowling of Ireland was vey much accurate and the fielding was also sharp.
