After all the hoo-ha and long wait, it finally is a floating wedding for Brangelina.
A little birdie informs us that the couple have been considering getting hitched aboard the Hebridean Princess, a ship that charters Scotland waters and is a favorite with the rich and the famous including the Queen herself.
Apparently, the couple were keen on a French chateau wedding initially. But Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt underwent a change of heart, thanks to their son Maddox.
A source revealed, “It was Maddox who came up with the idea of the ship. He came across it after looking back at photos of the Carnell Estate in Ayrshire, where they stayed and all loved.
So now they’ve made inquiries into booking the whole vessel.”
Talking about their choice of Hebridean, the source further revealed, “It’s just what they’re after. It can hold up to 50 of their friends and family and serve as a traditional, romantic setting — all totally private. Or they could always sail to a secluded bay off the Orkney or Shetland islands and have the ceremony there. The kids are all hooked on old British voyages, so they would love it. The fact that Maddox found it makes it more special.”
The fairytale wedding on Hebridean would cost the couple about £300,000.
The couple will apparently have no license issues getting married on water in Scotland as the priest there is allowed to solemnize a wedding anywhere, unlike England, where a license is must to organize a civil ceremony.
Ken Charleson, chief operating officer of the ship’s owners, Hebridean Island Cruises, said: “We have a very confidential relationship with a number of high-profile guests. I can’t confirm whether they have been making inquiries or not. But of course, they are more than welcome.”
“I might offer Brad the use of my kilt,” he added.
