American movie star Angelina Jolie, who made her directorial debut with the controversial Bosnian wartime love story - In the Land of Blood and Honey, is all set to go behind the camera once again.
Titled “Unbroken”, her second directorial venture will star British heartthrob Jack O'Connell in the lead role.
The 37-year-old actress, who was recently spotted in Hawaii scouting for locations, will start shooting the World War II-era drama this winter.
The movie will revolve round the life and feats of an Olympian and war hero Louis "Louis" Zamperini (O'Connell), who survives a deadly plane crash, before being picked up by the Japanese Navy and locked up in the prisoner-of-war camp.
Talking about her second outing, Jolie stated, "I've had the privilege of spending a great deal of time with Louie Zamperini, who is a hero of mine, and now I am proud to say a dear friend. I am deeply honored to be telling his extraordinary story, and I will do my absolute best to give him the film he deserves. I am grateful to Universal for making this film a priority."
The movie, inspired by a novel by Laura Hillenbrand of 'Seabiscuit' fame, called 'Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption', will be adapted for the big screens by Oscar winners Joel and Ethan Coen.
