Suriya Masss Movie Review and Rating

Ever had a dream that made absolute no sense and looked very illogical??? Masss is the very same, because it looks like Venkatprabu would have had a weird dream one night and would have decided to make it as a movie, the next morning.

Story

Masss is not horror film but has ghosts and that too not one or two, but more than ten in number. In the past, I have seen many films centered around ghosts, where the ghost is one out the ten characters in the film... But in our VenkatPrabu's latest offering, the number of people playing ghost character out number humans.

Analysis :

In this movie, Surya plays dual role. One as a human and another as a ghost. In one line, the story talks about Surya's ability to see and communicate with ghosts and since he is gifted with such a weird power, the ghosts take surya's help to satisfy their needs and vice versa.

The female lead, Nayantara, had a such tiny and useless role that just before the interval you need to ponder to decide whether she was really the female lead or she just played a cameo.

Performance :

On the technical side, the story was so weird that it gave rise to a weird screenplay and the weird screenplay gave rise to very normal editing. RD Rajasekar's camera work looked fine but the somehow I feel that VenkatPrabu should have retained ShakthiSaravanan. Yuvan's music is dull and in some places the bgm reminds you of the back ground score composed by Mickey J Meyer from the movie "Happy Days".

Final Word:
Venkat Prabu comes a step forward to hit a sixer, but gets duck out.
