Bharatheeyudu/Indian is getting ready with a sequel Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles in Shankar’s direction. Indian 2 after many controversies and hurdles is in its last leg of shoot. The film also landed in legal trouble at one point, but now surprisingly, Indian 3 is creating buzz. Udhayanidhi Stalin, producer of Indian 2 in his recent interview revealed that depending on the Indian 2 result, Indian 3 will be on the cards.

Udhayanidhi Stalin also said that "Kamal Haasan and Shankar are happy with the output and only 20 days of shooting is left." After completing the shoot, Indian2 will go for post-production and is scheduled for April 2024 release. Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha and others will be seen in key roles. Lyca Productions in association with Red Giant Movies is producing this big-budget film.
