He is currently shooting for his next film titled Robo 2.0 which is said to be the sequel for his past super hit outing Robo. Shankar is directing this big budget film and the shoot of the film is currently progressing in Chennai. A massive set worth Rs 20 crores has been erected in which some crucial action episodes are being shot.
Amy Jackson is the female lead in the film and Akshay Kumar is playing the negative lead in Robo 2.0. AR Rahman is composing the music for the film and many leading Hollywood technicians are working for the project.
As per the latest news, Robo 2.0 is being made on a budget of Rs 350 crores which is highest for an Indian film till date. This is quite shocking but the makers are quite confident on the movie and they are in no mood to comprimise. They have recently insured the film for a sum of Rs 350 crores. Lyca Productions are producing Robo 2.0 which will hit the screens during summer next year.
