Superstar Rajinikanth was rushed to a private hospital in Chennai a couple of days ago and Rajinikanth has successfully undergone an elective procedure during which a stent was placed near his lower abdominal area. The veteran actor is kept under observation and his health condition is said to be stable. The actor will be discharged in two days and he has been advised to rest. Rajinikanth will take his time to recover and the October schedule of his upcoming film Coolie stands delayed. Rajinikanth has been shooting for Coolie in Vizag since a month without major breaks.

His upcoming film Vettaiyan is releasing on October 10th and is carrying good expectations. TJ Gnanavel is the director and Rajinikanth essays the role of a cop in this social drama. Lyca Productions are the producers. Rajinikanth is also in talks for Jailer 2 and the shoot starts next year after he is done with Coolie. Rajinikanth underwent kidney transplant years ago and he decided not to take much stress. He decided to stay away from politics but he has been working on films as he is being paid crores of remuneration. Wishing Rajinikanth a speedy recovery.
