The Party high command seemed to have asked the state Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and the PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana to come to Delhi for high level consultations. Both the leaders are believed to leave for the capital in the morning. What is most important is that the meeting is called at a time when both the leaders were pouching against each other on various issues in the state. The party high command would like to give them some `gyan’ as the by-polls for the eighteen other constituencies is in the anvil. It is already an evident fact that the last by-polls gave a sour taste to the party. Much of the defeat had been attributed to the dissent within the party. As the looming controversies between both these leaders were increasing on a day-to-day basis, high command is to council them over various issues.
First the Telangana agitation, then the Liquor scam followed by the by-poll dissent and recently the electricity charges hike, has evoked very bad response for the Congress in the state. Adding fuel to fire this growing controversies between the leaders also seemed to have decreased the chances of the party survival in the future. Unless necessary steps are taken up on war-footing, the tussle would divide its prospects feel the critics.
Congress party now must plan more to highlight the schemes it would adhere to and the mileage already achieved by adopting many welfare schemes. Instead they were, till date, in the blaming game and cornered their strengths targeting just one person who was the former Chief Minister’s son. This has done nothing good for the party and on contrary has aided the new upcoming party in developing a sympathy image in the public. May be the Congress high command would like to focus on an agenda for publicity keeping in view of the elections and might advice the leaders of their specific roles and responsibilities. The critics feel that the re-charged leaders will bring the party good and enhance the prospects.
