The Indian American organization is conducting a survey to study the community’s engagement and attitude towards giving.

The Indian American Communication Engagement Survey which is first every comprehensive survey of its kind is conducted in partnership with the firm Dalberg Global Development Advisers and American Bazaar.

“We are looking at community engagement and attitudes towards giving of the entire Indian American community rather than just the high net worth individuals. What we learn from this will help us as a community make a more impactful, meaningful, and sustainable contribution to the Indian American and Indian community at large,” said Indiaspora Executive Director Sanjeev Joshipura told the American Bazaar.

According to the organization, the ultimate aim of the survey is to learn more about the perspectives and the ideas of Indian Americans, the diverse ways in which we give back as a community and how we can collectively achieve more informed and impactful change.

The Indiaspora was founded six years ago by Silicon Valley’s entrepreneur, M.R. Rangaswami with a mission to help transform the success of Indian Americans into meaningful impact in India and worldwide.

The data collected from the survey will be anonymized, aggregated and analyzed by Dalberg, Indiaspora and its expert advisers. The outcome of the preliminary survey will be announced at an event in Washington on July 17
