A community of Skilled Immigrants in America (SIIA), with over 150,000 workers, who were also applicants of Permanent Residence, have estimated that, there are about 1.5million highly skilled immigrants, as of now facing the green card backlog, Parents of those immigrants say that, they are sympathetic to the situation of undocumented immigrants, who came to the United States as young children, but now they are being discouraged by the paucity of senate proposals, in order to help dependent children of H1B workers.
As like their undocumented counterparts, these people who are H4 dreamers, have been raised in the United States since their childhood, and now there is a situation of un certainty towards their future. The parents of children say that, when their jobs got them to the US, settling down here as residents was not planned.
Parents and the immigration advocates believe that , the broken immigration system of the country, has given uncertain future of these children, Many other parents feel that, they feel ignored by the law of Child Status Protection Act.
For an instance, a girl by name Sravani Kunapareddy came to the United states, when she was 2 year aged baby. She has managed to grow up in the suburbs of St.Louis, Missouri, she has activity engaged, in the school programs, with network of friends, basket ball, track and field and other familiar grounds. But now the high school freshman realizes that dreams cloud not be full filled soon, due to her immigration status.
When they tried to realize about the issue, everything changed with the new regulations being passed in the Senate.
Many children like Kunapareddy are still in confusion of their future, not knowing what lies ahead, they have all known US as their home, where they grew up .
In another case, the H4 Visa has got no limitations for spouses but as long as it is considered to their children, it is valid only till they turn 21.
