Emirati young inventor gains RCA honors

Arousing a feeling of interest, a nine-year-old Emirati, Adeeb Al Beloushi, was honoured by the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) yesterday for his invention of a hi-tech wheelchair designed to help people with special needs.

Furthermore, Al Beloushi, at the ceremony at the RCA headquarters, demonstrated his inventions which include a smart wheelchair equipped with a link to satellites, a voice-activated and GPS-linked device to help visually impaired people avoid obstacles such as water, light poles and stones. The youngster also invented a cleaning robot and a seat belt heart monitor to help save the lives of people with high blood pressure and heart disease.

Al Beloushi is currently a student at the GEMS Wellington International School. Previously, Al Beloushi visited the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, where his inventions were praised by Dr Nabeel Al Arabi, Arab League Secretary-General. Al Arabi wished the young Emirati success and praised his inventions that help this segment of society.

Mohammad Yousuf Al Fahim, Deputy Secretary General for Support Services at RCA. urged the youth to follow Al Beloushi’s model and to tap the modern scientific and educational capabilities and resources provided by the government.

That's Gods blessing on this exceptional natural capacity of intellect.

Truly remarkable achievement!
