Believe it or not, Bollywood super star Amir Khan is now on par with Hollywood heroes in matters of remuneration.
It is said that the producers of the Yash Raj Films have agreed to pay Rs. 100 Cr towards remuneration to Amir Khan for his dates in the new movie ‘Dhoom-3’and already paid an advance as part of the agreement.
Out of the total remuneration of the mind boggling Rs. 100 Cr, one part will be paid in cash and the rest will be in kind i.e. in shape of a share in the overseas rights of the movie. With the super duper success of his two movies ‘Gajani’ and ‘3 idiots’ that came in a row, his popularity and dependability as a successful hero has soared to the skies.
It is no exaggeration that the movie ‘3 idiots’ has collected more than Rs.300 Cr in and out of India sending his remuneration graph to dizzy heights. ‘Dhoom-3’, which will be released in 2012, is expected to collect more than Rs.500 Cr. But the question is: Will he stop at that or go beyond overtaking the Hollywood heroes?
Now, don’t you say that Indian heroes are also on par with their ilk in Hollywood?
