Skoda India launched the Kylaq a few weeks ago with a starting price of Rs 789,000 for the Classic variant. This company has announced the price of each complete version of the car. Kylaq comes in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature+ and Prestige. As a special offer, Skoda is giving the first 33,333 customers a free three-year standard maintenance package. The company claims that this will reduce maintenance costs to Rs 0.20 per kilometer for the first five years of ownership. The SUV, which is less than 4 meters long, has been tested over more than 800,000 kilometers, a distance longer than a trip to the moon and back. The Kylaq is available in seven colors: Tornado Red, Sparkling Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Lava Blue, Deep Black and Olive Gold.
The Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI petrol engine that produces 114 hp and 178 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The top-spec Prestige AT has features such as LED projector headlights, a sunroof, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, ambient lighting, ventilated seats with six-way power adjustment and paddle shifters. Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, ESC and tilt adjustment as well as a telescopic steering wheel. The Skoda Kylaq comes with a standard warranty of 3 years or 100,000 km. It competes with brands like Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.
