A nutritious semi-liquid blend of vegetables and spices (sometimes with non-veg) when served hot is what all you need when hungry and especially in winters. It hardly takes any time to be on your dining table and its attractive color and aroma tempts one to finish in a minute. Besides being a quick recipe, it is believed to be good for health. Check out this soup which is high in vitamin C and acts as powerful antioxidant.
Ingredients:
Split Yellow gram (1/4 cup)
Chopped onions (2 big pieces)
Chopped potatoes (2 big pieces)
Chopped cauliflower (2 tbspn)
Chopped carrots (1/4 cup)
Oil (1tsp)
Salt (1/4 tsp)
Freshly ground black pepper
Lemon juice (2 tbspn)
Method:
Wash the gram and keep it aside.
Pour oil in a pressure cooker; add onions and potatoes when the oil is hot.
Stir the potatoes for few minutes.
Now add the washed gram and 4 cups of water into it.
Close the lid of the cooker and allow it to cook.
After 6 to 8 whistles, add cauliflower and carrots and cook in simmer till the vegetables become tender.
Lastly, add salt and pepper and cook it for 1 minute.
Add lemon juice and serve hot.
