Ford enters the SUV market with EcoSport

The automobile giant unveiled its production version of the cars that are going to take the Asian markets by storm, soon. EcoSport is eyed by the connoisseurs as the best suited.

Automobile Giant Ford unveiled its EcoSport in the Beijing Auto Expo. Though the car was launched earlier at the Delhi Auto Expo in January, it was a concept version. However this production version at China was an ultimatum say critics.  The business pundits predict that the Mini SUV will help the giant scale up supremacy to newer levels in volumes and in margins. The SUV with a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine is unique in its power to deliver 118PS of power and 125Nm of torque.

Ford EcoSport has some delightful features which are first of its kind and are also user friendly. Some of the salient features are rear parking sensors, power-assisted steering, smart keyless entry, voice control and Ford Power start, to name a few.  The other unique features are dual front and side curtain air bags, anti lock brakes, hill launch control…. Etc. Before I talk too much about this vehicle which has obsessed me much, better wait for the official Indian launch and judge it yourself.

Interiors have excelled in creation say experts. Though they look similar to the one in new Ford Fiesta, they significantly improvised for the vehicle. The Ford Chennai plant shall manufacture this SUV, which might burn your pocket by Rs 7-8 Lakhs, predict experts. But the Automobile giant is targeting over a hundred markets with this new model. Hence along with India the car will be manufacture in Brazil and Thailand. The SUV is to take on the Indian terrain by the end of this year say sources. The company targets the urban driver through this model, who looks for driving pleasure, comfortable space and of course elegance. This is Ford’s one answer to three desires.
