Amitabh Bachchan has lend his voice for the character of Bheesma Pitama in Amaan Khan's Mahabharat, a 3D animation film. According to reports, Amaan Khan had to create a two-hour version to get Amitabh into the project. Producer Jayantilal Gada said that they wanted to convince Amitji for the role as it would be easier to persuade other Bollywood actors into the movie.
This is the first time that the veteran actor, in his 44-year-old career, has dubbed for an animation film. Popular Bollywood actors like Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Manoj Bajpayee, Jackie Shroff and Anupam Kher have leant their voice for the film. The film is a tribute of the producers to mark 100 years of Indian cinema. The epic movie is slated for releases on December 25.
