KGF star Yash's much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for the Grownups has added another Bollywood heroine to its cast. "Heropanti 2" and "Tapad" actress Tara Sutharia has been roped in for an important role in the action thriller directed by Geethy Mohandas. "Tara is very happy to have been able to take on such an important role in such a large project. She plays one of the two love interests of the Kannada superstar, the other being Kiara Advani,” an industry source told as per the speculations across the Bollywood media. The big-budget multilingual film is built on strong female characters and stars like Nayanthara and Huma Qureshi playing key roles. Nayanthara will play Yash's sister and Huma is expected to play a negative character.
Toxic is an action film set against the background of the drug mafia that ruled from the 1950s to the 1970s in Goa. Yash is a national sensation following the historic box office success of KGF Chapter 2. Yash is said to play the role of a stylish thug in this risque action flick. The project is planned to be shot for more than 200 days to be on an unprecedented scale and provide audiences with an uncompromised visual cinematic experience.
The film started shooting in June and is expected to continue shooting throughout the year with a release date of April 10, 2025. Yash is currently shooting for Nitesh Tiwari's mythological drama Ramayana and will resume shooting for Toxic in September. Although the shooting is underway, the makers of the film have remained silent and have not announced the cast. Yash and Venkat K Narayana are jointly producing the film under the banner Monster Mind Creations and KVN Productions.
