Director Nila Madhab Panda is planning to take a biopic on late former President Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, the great thinker, educationalist and visionary. The question here is who will play the role of this great personality. The buzz is it could be none other than Amitab Bachchan, who possess extraordinary acting skills.
Amitab might play the role of Dr. Kalam in the Bollywood remake of ‘I am Kalam’! Panda shot ‘I am Kalam’ and became famous. The film had won the National Award and paid homage to the People’s President.
Panda said, “Now that Dr Kalam is no more, it’s very important that his message be carried forward. I will start work on my film very soon.”
“I need on board a scholar who has done a lot of research on Dr Kalam,” added Panda wants to do thorough research on the subject.
Who will play Dr Kalam?
Nila says only one name comes to his mind when asked who will play Dr Kalam, former president of India who passed away on July 27, 2015 due to heart stroke. “It has to be Mr Bachchan. Only he has the fan following, clout and gravitas to play a visionary like Dr Kalam.”
