Shahid Kapoor, a Bollywood super star and Mira Rajput tied the wedding knot on 7 July 2015 at a farm house in the outskirts of Delhi. The private ceremony was attended by close friends and relatives. Wedding is planned to be followed by a reception on 12 July 2015 at Mumbai.
The 34 year old star, who kept the details of his wedding ceremony secret, felt his marriage is a normal affair and thus categorized this as a private ceremony. "I refrain from getting into details. I thought that since I am here today, it was important to acknowledge it in front of the media, so I am doing that. Other than that, she is a normal girl and I am a normal guy, and we should treat it like something normal and regular. It's my personal space and I won't get into the details," Shahid said.
Earlier, Ravish Kapoor, the wedding card designer, said the color combination, every minute detail and even gifts, which accompanied the wedding cards, were chosen by Shahid.
"The credit for color combination goes to Shahid as he was very particular about colors. From the peacock logo to the font, everything was chosen by Shahid. Initially it was his family, who were involved but when the sample was shown to Shahid, he got involved regarding the changes, the colour combination, what gifts to go with it," Ravish told PTI.
Soon, Vikas Bahl's Shaandaar will star Shahid opposite Alia Bhatt and Udta Punjab. The film is produced by Vikramaditya Motwane. Earlier, the Haider star was in relationship with Kareena Kapoor Khan for around three years. He was later associated with co-stars Vidya Balan, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu.
