Reports about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan signing a film with Karan Johar opposite Aamir Khan had been doing the rounds for quite some time but now, we hear Aamir would not be the hero of the film. It will have Ranbir Kapoor instead!

The director has worked with Aishwarya's hubby Abhishek Bachchan as well as father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan. In fact, he was successful in casting Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan together for his Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. In that film the real-life couple came on big screen after eons. Our sources say that the Bachchan bahu, who is looking to make a comeback, has said yes to a role offered by Karan.

A source close to both families says, “Aishwarya has never worked with Dharma Productions. She was supposed to do 'Dostana'.

Aamir Khan or Ranbir Kapoor! Aishwarya Rai hasn’t worked with both the actors, and whatever be the casting, the novelty factor will be there. Buzz also has it that Anushka Sharma may get to play the second lead in the film.

“Karan has offered Aishwarya a role and the actress who is on a comeback trail has agreed,” a source is quoted as saying by tabloid. While the details of the movie are still under wraps, gossipmongers also claim that it’s the same film which Karan wants to make with Aamir Khan.

Since Karan is known for making family films with main focus on relationships, his Aishwarya Rai-starrer too may not be any different.
