Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar, while speaking in Question Hour on the steps that are taken to minimize the pollution, said "Fresh air is birth right" and efforts were on deal with the problem of pollution. He also said that India don’t any foreign help in controlling and to monitor the pollution levels.
In reply to the member question on rising pollution level in Delhi, he said that air pollution in Delhi is surely a cause of concern. All the steps are being taken by the government and the concerned authorities to reduce the pollution and to promote the battery run vehicles.
While answering other question, he said that coal-based thermal power plants have been categorised as 'highly polluting industry'.
The need of power, and cement is polluting the environment a lot, polluting the river waters should also be nullified.
