According to Sane, when he returned back from work, Saraswathi was found lying on the floor with some fluid coming out of her mouth. He claims that Saraswathi consumed poison and died by suicide. He was frightened and thought he would be framed for murder. So, he disposed off her body by chopping and by boiling it in the cooker. He used a kitchen mixer to grained her body parts and also minced some of the pieces and dumped them secretly.
Neighbors said to police that he was spotted feeding stray dogs in recent days, which he has never done before. Manoj Sane doesn’t have any relatives and his cousins are in Boonville. Saraswathi and Manoj Sane met at a ration store in 2014 and are living together for 3 years.
Recovered body parts were sent to Sir JJ Hospitals in Mumbai for forensic analysis. Police are investigating the case. Manoj Sane was booked under Sections 302 (murder) and 201 (destruction of evidence).
