Popular Telugu Novelist, Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani Passed Away in California

A famed Telugu novelist, Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani deceased in California on Monday with heart failure at her daughter’s residence.
Born in 1940 in the village of Kaja, Krishna District, she was well-liked among women and younger generation with her fiction novels based on love, family relationships and drama. Umpteen of her novels were as well released as movies.
Not merely a popular novelist, she was likewise well known as an admirable human being for her contribution towards society. She ran a school for children with psychological disabilities and serving necessitous children for educating them.
Agni Poolu, Meena, Vijetha, Bahumati, Bangaaru Kalalu, Amara Hridayam, Chandipriya, Radha Krishna were few of her best known novels. Her novels were also been made to Television series. Her novels were chiefly centered on women life. Secretary novel which was also released as a feature film was written by her when she was pregnant.
Some of her novels which were made into films were Meena, Jeevana Tarangalu, Amma Nanna, Secretary, Radha Krishna, Agni Poolu, Chandipriya, Prema Lekhalu, Bangaaru Kalalu, Vijetha, Jai Jawan, Aatma Gowravam, Prema Deepika, Girija Kalyanam and Atmeeyulu.
She was awarded with Sri Malathi Chandur Award in 2015 as an eminent Telugu novelist and won the most prestigious Nandi award for Best Story Writer in the year 1981.
Since few years, she was away from writing novels/stories.
