USCIS report claims more than 74 percent of Indians Accounted on H1B visas

Washington:
The skilled technology professionals from India were calculated to be 74.2 percent of the total number of visas issued by the United States in the year 2016 and in the next year the graph has increased to be 75.6 percent, according to the recent government reports.

Even so, currently there is a huge drop in the number of new H1B beneficiaries from India, according to report given by authorities.

China with little difference of about 9 percent, ranks distant second after India with respect to number of H1B visas issued by the government. The figures of china shows as 9.3 in 2016 and 9.4 in 2017, respectively.

The USCIS released a latest report with title ‘Characteristics of H1B Specialty Occupation Workers’, that states The number of beneficiaries from India approved for initial employment decreased by 4.1 per cent in fiscal 2017, while the number of beneficiaries approved for continuing employment increased by 12.5 per cent in fiscal 2017”.

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), said that the postulation for initial employment are filed for the first time H1B employment with an employer, only few of such cases are applied to the annual cap. Examples of petitions for primary employment that are exempted from the protective measures, that include petitions, submitted by nonprofit research organizations or by the governmental research organizations.

Taking forward the petitions of employment, with reference to the extensions, sequential employment and also concurrent employment, which were already filed for foreigners in United States. Extensions are generally filed for H1B workers, who are intending to work beyond the limit of three year old period to total of 6 years, that would be permissible time period by law.
