At least five people killed and three injured in an “ambush-style attack” at a backyard cookout in the Pittsburgh suburb of Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, police said.

According to the Allegheny County police, four men and one women were shot dead and three wounded in the shooting,  happened in a backyard party in the borough of Wilkinsburg.

Lt. Andrew Sherman with the Allegheny County Police Department,  said that, “there is ballistic evidence indicating that at least two persons discharged weapons into this party.” "Shots were fired from an alley into the yard. As party goers tried to run into the residence, someone on the side fired at the back porch."

A official press reported that, “it would appear from early examination of the scene that, a backyard party/cookout was being held at the rear of the home. The ballistic evidence on the scene leads police to believe that two different weapons were discharged from two different people.”

The Allegheny County homicide unit said that,  the gunmen had barged into the party and opened fire in an ambush-style attack.

“It looks like right now they were all fleeing toward the back door of the residence when the second gunman fired from the side of the yard,” Sherman said.“They all seemed to get caught on the back porch.”
