After certain incidents in India, foreign countries have been treating our nationals in a different manner, like remarks of rapists by a Germany professor, corruption remarks on Indian politicians, anti-ethical titles after brutal rape and murder of foreign nationals in India, religious intolerance comments by US President Barack Obama.
The recent claim of addressing at prestigious Harvard University by RJD leader Misa Bharti, who is daughter of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, is still strengthening the allegations of misguiding politicians in India. According to her facebook and twitter comments, she had participated as a speaker at the India Conference held at the prestigious Harvard University on Sunday.
But according to the University’s record available at http://indiaconferenceatharvard.com/2015/ in Speakers list, her name is not found.
According to the report of The Hindu, Misa Bharti had posted a picture of her on Facebook, dated March 7, showing her at the podium. The picture was captioned in Hindi, “Harvard Vishwavidyalaya mein yuvaaon ki bhagidari ko lekar vyakhyaan dete hue” (giving a lecture at Harvard University on the role of youth).
And the politician had tweeted on Tuesday, two days after the event, that she had participated in the conference. “At the #IndiaConference at Harvard University, with key speakers and panelists,” she tweeted at 12.37 p.m. on Tuesday. She even re-tweeted some pictures posted by BJP leader and unsuccessful CM candidate in Delhi elections Kiran Bedi, who was one of the speakers at the event. In those images, Ms. Bharti seated in the audience.
Chandini Sachdeva, co-chair of the conference told The Hindu, “Ms. Bharti was not a speaker at the India Conference at Harvard,”.
However the daughter of former CM, reportedly clarified that she never claimed to have made a speech at Harvard, adding it was incorrect reporting by an over enthusiastic correspondent.
So far Indian politicians have bluffed the voters with their false or proxy educational qualifications, medals and fake records of imprisonment for social cause. This kind of claim is new, but her attempt to project herself as an emerging politician has got diluted.
