A dead body of a young man was recovered from DeKalb County elementary school on early Sunday.
Police are investigating his identity.

Police say that the the 20-something year old man was discovered around 2 a.m. at Hambrick Elementary School. The officials have not disclosed much details about the case.

The DeKalb County school system refused to comment. However, it clarified that the person found dead was not affiliated with the school off Hambrick Road near Stone Mountain.

“The person is not connected to the school,” DeKalb County schools spokesman Quinn Hudson said.

The GBI was also on the scene Sunday providing investigative support, but referred questions to local authorities. More details are awaited in this case.

The cause of death is also yet to be known.
