While the Telangana supporters and students of Osmania University burst into rapturous celebrations following the announcement of the“bifurcation” of the states last evening, a few political forces refused to take it on their stride and launched protests to oppose the division.
Even commoners were deeply disturbed by the formation of a new Telangana state.
A 48-year-old farmer, Mahaboob Basha, from Rayalapantula Gari Palli near Alankanupalli in Kadapa district, died of cardiac arrest on Tuesday evening after watching the news of bifurcation on television, revealed his family.
Basha had returned from his farm in Kurnool-Kadapa canal and turned on the television to watch news.
However, no sooner the news of Andhra Pradesh bifurcation was relayed on the television, the middle-aged man collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.
