In a state of discomposure to the BJP in Maharashtra, a former woman office bearer of the party has charged senior leader Madhu Chavan of raping her for the last two decades, according to the police on Wednesday.

Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner of Police Dhananjay Kulkarni told media persons on wednesday evening said that they have taken awareness of a complaint by a woman who said she had been raped since 1993 and that they are investigating the matter further.

Irrespective of repeated attempts, top Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in the state were not available for their comments in the matter. The woman, a former office-bearer of the BJP’s women’s wing in the city has declared that Chavan sexually attacked her since the past two decades on the pretext of marrying her.

As a concluding factor, a case has been registered at the Kala Chowky police station in south Mumbai while Chavan has not yet been summoned for interrogation or detained in the matter.

It's a shame and a disgrace for the nation!
