Iran trembles after 7.8 high magnitude quake

Only a week ago, 37 people fell prey to Mother Nature's aggression after a quake shook Iran and even before the people have recovered from the melancholy another major earthquake has hit a well populated location in Iran.

The US Geological Survey recorded the earthquake around 11:40 GMT. Fortunately however there were no immediately reported injuries or fatalities. But the magnitude of the quake was so high that major cities thousands of miles away like New Delhi, India and few other Gulf cities like Dubai could feel tremors of the quake. It is reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was Khash, Iran and the origin was 15.6 kms below the surface of the earth.

Highrise buildings in the Gulf areas detected a threat due to swaying of the buildings and were hence evacuated immediately.
