Shri Modi to speak on ‘Technology in Politics’ at Google Big Tent Activate Summit 2013...

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will engage with Google Chairman Eric Schmidt and The Guardian Editor In Chief Alan Rusbridger at the Google Big Tent Activate Summit 2013.

In fact, according to a state government release Modi will deliver an address through Google+ hangout.

Moreover, the Google Tent blog said that Google is hosting tent events around the world, bringing together speakers with diverse points of view to debate some of the hot issues relating to the Internet and society.

Fact-fully, the CMs, who frequently take to Twitter and are known for their tech- savvy ways, will discuss the topic “Technology in Politics.”

Interestingly, Big Tent summits are hosted by Google in different cities across the world.

On Tuesday in Mumbai, Rusbridger, editor of The Guardian since 1995, spoke about how journalism has undergone a fundamental change since the 19th, or even 20th century.

As a fact, while commenting on how live blogging got popular during the Arab Spring, Rusbridger said, “Journalism incorporated this and we discovered our pieces were infinitely richer and more comprehensive, as we pulled in stories from different sites by other writers. He also added that after switching to the use of social media as a professional tool and putting digital media first, The Guardian website has become the third-largest news website in the world.

It's all about adapting hi-tech elements in politics!
