CM urges banks to extend their work for the growth of State industrial policy

Chief Minister Jayalalitha addressing the Special Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Indian Overseas Bank in Chennai said her government is giving final touches to industry specific policies for various industries, including automobiles, auto components, biotechnology, aerospace and renewable energy with special focus on solar power generation.
To gain 14 per cent growth in the manufacturing sector, she invited all banks in the State “to work in tandem with the government to achieve the goals of the new industrial policy.”
Disbursement of social security pensions through banks has begun and wished the wages under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act should go through banks. She has announced the New Entrepreneur-cum-Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS) from 2012-13 which aims at training the young entrepreneurs.(msn)
