The YSR Congress party president and Kadapa MP, Jaganmohan Reddy has said that if God makes him the chief minister, he would put a check to suicides in the state. He has said that a B. Tech student from Rangareddy allegedly committed suicide since her parents were not in a position to support her financially in her education. He felt bad when he consoled her parents, he added.
Throwing light on farmers’ issues, Jagan expressed his anguish stating that farmers in the state were complaining that hanging themselves would be a better option compared to farming. The leaders are plunging into election campaign for trying to purchase love and effection with mere money, he added.
It may be noted that Jagan has been touring West Godavari district as a part of his election campaign . He has said that his party is focused in turning Polavaram project into reality. Also, he said that no politician would quit the post over ethics just like his followers did and appealed the people to vote for YSR Congress party candidates.
The current by-polls are fight between power and ethics, he added. Whether the political charm of YSR will turn fruitful to Jagan or not is a million dollar question. (Phani)
