The bus yatra (tour on bus) kick started by the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) has today reached Khammam. TJAC has started this tour in order to appeal youths not to commit suicides for Telangana cause. The committee, in turn, appealing youths to come forward for achieving separate state. Kodandaram has asked the political parties in the region to put aside name sake appeals and exert pressure on the Centre with strong protests.
Earlier, only political parties used to take out such rallies and this is the first time that an action committee going into public through rallies. It may be recalled that the Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Prof, Kondandaram demanded a decision on Telangana issue on April 24 as it was the day that Parliament sessions resume. To exert pressure on the same, it announced several programmes that include Telangana Bus Yatra from April 22 to April 24.
All in all, parliament sessions are apparently going to be very tough for the Centre as all political parties are gearing up for taking on the Centre over several burning problems in the country.(Phani)
