TJAC campaigns for T, CM convenes meeting on by-polls

The political Telangana Joint Action Committee (T-JAC) president Prof. Kodandaram has said that Telangana State would not come to a reality by requesting the Centre. He has called upon all the political leaders in the region to say good-bye to the namesake movements and exert pressure on the Centre by a fixed and strong course of action.

The bus yatra (tour on bus) by TJAC has reached Nalgonda. TJAC president Kodandaram has also appealed youths not to commit suicides and called upon them to come forward and fight for the cause. The other leaders who addressed the gathering in the tour include Swami Goud, Srinivas Goud and Vittal.

It may be noted that TJAC kick started Telangana bus yatra in order to strengthen the movement besides appealing people not to kill themselves in support of separate statehood.

While the appeals and yatras in support of statehood are going on in full swing, the government—both at the Centre and State are apparently completely focused on just by-polls.  Meanwhile, the chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is all set to convene a meeting this evening at his party office in Hyderabad to discuss the by-poll strategy.

With so many issues in the state alarming and putting the Congress in a fix, the party is likely to fall flat before the ballot box in the upcoming by-polls to 18 constituencies. (Phani)
