Megastar-turned-politician, Chiranjeevi who became a Congress man after he merged his Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) with the Congress today gave a breakfast to the former AICC general secretary, Vayalar Ravi, at his residence in Hyderabad.

Notably, Vayalar Ravi arrived in the state a few days back as the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi wanted him to look into key factors pertaining to the state party as well as the governance.

Vayalar Ravi, who accepted the breakfast invitation, appeared at Chiru’s residence this morning.  Chiranjeevi presumably wanted to get some extra marks in Vayalar’s report to Sonia Gandhi.

It has to be mentioned here that the Chiranjeevi and his brothers took on Congress leadership severely in the previous elections. There were reported instances wherein people, who disliked the Congress, approached PRP, since it vented out its anger against the ruling party then.

Chiru’s merger news with PRP came as a shock to many of its followers, leaders while it reportedly became a weapon to the opposition TDP, whose leaders still question over the same.

According to the sources, many people in the state throng the political road shows of Chiranjeevi only to have a glimpse of the star seen on the silver screen for years. Otherwise, chances are very low for Chiranjeevi to attract the voters with his film charisma given the fact that political charisma of late YSR is stronger. (Phani)
