The Anti Corruption Bureau Director General Bhupathy Babu, clarified to the media on Saturday in Hyderabad that he was not on leave. He also added that he was on duty and in fact enquiring the credentials of the latest transferred officers. This was a routine exercise and no ulterior motives behind the issue. He said that the media spot light on the department was making the department a little embarrassment. Work is getting a little delayed as the media is coming up with many speculations about the department felt the Chief.
Mr Bhupathy Babu ascertained that the department will cruise ahead in the liquor scam. He also said that nobody is above law. As the investigation is proceedings, even the highest elite politician, if enlisted will not be spared, says the Chief. It may be noted that the Additional Director of the department heading the liquor scam investigation was transferred on promotion. And this motive by the government which came on heels of a notice served on him by a comparatively low officer Mr Ganesh, gathered controversial remarks from the oppositions. Many political critics felt that the reward for sincere officer in the form of a transfer was bad.
