Three accidents in the wee hours of the day leading to nine deaths and leaving several injured are the first reports from the state. In three different incidents spread across the state nearly nine people are feared dead and over 25 members are injured. The injured are being treated in hospitals, few are critical. The state is reeling under the depression of the school bus accident in Khammam yesterday, where nearly eight children were feared dead after the bus fell into a canal. Again today the state awoke to a rude shock with series of accidents across the state. Rescue teams are in action and police are investigating the cases of accidents.
Nellore: An accident on the highway between two vehicles left nearly 16 people injured and drastically killed two persons. The accident between a lorry and a tempo occurred near the Venkatachalam village in the district. The accident that took place in the early hours of the day disrupted the free flow of traffic on the highway. The injured are being treated in a nearby hospital.

Karimnagar: At the Renigunta village in the Thimmapuram Mandal of the district a van filled with a marriage party collided into a lorry. The accident took place in the early hours of the day. The van carrying the marriage party was travelling towards Hyderabad collided with Salt consignment lorry. Five people are feared dead and 20 are critically injured. The deceased five were women.
