20 tribals were injured, 6 of them seriously, when a jeep carrying them dashed against a lorry coming in the opposite direction at Mondithota in G.Madugula Mandalam of Visakhapatnam district this morning.

The tribals were on their way to attend a weekly marketing congregation (Santha) at a nearby village when the accident occurred.

Police have rushed to the spot and the injured were admitted to nearby Government hospitals. “The condition of 6 of the injured is serious and the doctors are trying to save their lives,” said a senior police official. (J)
